ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION
Lead in (10 minutes)
1/ Creating stories together – Story A (5 minutes)
Write the following five words from story A on the board one under another: Coca-cola,
harvest, walking, water, villagers.
Inform students that today they will work with two stories – with accounts that have
happened in different parts of the world recently. The words on the board are from the first one.
Have them guess:
How do you think that those words are connected?
What is the story going to be about?
Have them share several predictions and ask questions that will provoke further thinking
about the story.
2/ Predicting in pairs – Story B (5 minutes)
