M83 For those nights when you feel the need to slow down. If you like some kind of “chill out” music, then you have to give a listen to some M83 songs. M83 is a French band consisting of the French musician Anthony Gonzalez and a couple of other people who kind of came and went over the years (M83 has been a band for 15 years now!). You might have heard some of their songs in movies like The Fault in Our Stars, Divergent, Insurgent and Oblivion. They make somewhat electro slash ambient slash dream pop music that is sometimes compared to artists like The XX, The Naked and Famous, MGMT and Empire of the Sun. Their songs make you feel very much at peace and perfectly accompany those nights when you’re lying on your bed just, you know, thinking about life. Also it’s that kind of music that’s easy to focus to; it can be a new addition to your study playlist on Spotify! I can’t forget to mention that M83 have just released a new album “Junk” and are going to be playing at numerous festivals around Europe, you should definitely check out their website to help you decide where you’re going to go this summer. Shadowhunters - your new Netflix binge-watch series! You may or may not have seen this new series on your Netflix homepage, however, whichever way it is, you have to see at least the first episode. And then another one. And another one. The plot might be quite familiar to you; like the 2013 film The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones they’re both based on Cassandra Clare’s novels The Mortal Instruments. If you were like me and were desperately waiting for the next TMI film you might have been quite surprised when a whole new TV series with a totally new cast appeared out of nowhere! The story follows Clary Fray/Fairchild who on her eighteenth birthday learns that she is a Shadowhunter – an individual born with both angel and mundane (human) blood – whose duty it is to protect the world from demons. Sounds pretty cool, right? Until later her mother is abducted by the underworld’s most wanted Shadowhunter who also happens to be Clary’s father. Then she has to face all that comes with being a Shadowhunter – dealing with vampires, warlocks, werewolves… You know, just your average day. If you find yourself into a bit of fantasy; magical beings, vampires, fighting demons and all that sort of stuff; I guarantee you you’ll enjoy this as well! It’s one of those series you can just relax to, it doesn’t have a complicated synopsis and you also get quite a lot of eye-candy. Did I mention Dominic Sherwood and Matthew Daddario play the lead roles? 10 Lipstick Jungle I’ve teamed up with a bunch of my girl friends and we put together a bunch of reviews on all our favourite makeup products! Collection Illuminating Reviving Eye Primer It’s cheap but works perfectly, it really gives eye shadow something to stick to. I have fallen asleep after clubbing with my make up still on, woke up in the next morning and my eye make up looked like it had just been re-applied. No smudging or wear. Keeps it looking fresh over long periods of time. nds! e m m o RRP £4.99 a rec Ails Maybelline Push Up Drama Mascara that wing though I picked this mascara from the shop mostly because it’s part of “the falsies” range and one of my personal favourites is Maybelline’s Falsies, so I had quite high hopes with this one. At first, like any other Maybelline mascara, the consistency is quite watery, it just coats the lashes with black something and sticks them together. However when you let the mascara rest for two or three weeks, they dry out a bit and are much easier to apply. I usually apply two coats and my lashes end up looking long and voluminous. I’m not quite sure whether I would purchase it again; I think I still prefer the Falsies or Lash Sensational. y Gabi ed b RRP £7.99 eview r Shau Rimmel Lasting Finish Kate shade 30 nie’s After looking around for a plum coloured lipstick for a little while now, I found myself buying a favourite of mine from the Kate Moss collection by Rimmel in shade 30. I was very pleased when I found this lipstick again because it lasts so long and is relatively cheap, it is a lipstick which I tend to always go back to and the reason why I love it so much is that it lasts so long on the lips without needing to reapply for a few hours. I think this lipstick is very flattering to all lip shapes and I love the how only a small amount of lipstick needs to be applied for full coverage. RRP £5.49 go-to Urban Decay NAKED 2 Eyeshadow Palette Ley ah love sa dor The palette comes with 12 decent sized shadows, which glide onto the skin like butter onto warm toast. They are so creamy and easy to blend; they do most of the work for you! The tones in this palette are perfect for pale skin tones (like me!) as the colours are a gorgeous range of neutral cool tones, some matte, some with shimmer. The packaging is beautiful not to mention sturdy and comes with a great full sized mirror. The palette also comes with a dual ended eyeshadow brush, which I have thoroughly enjoyed using as well. Given the quality of the products, I personally think that this one is a bargain and is well worth owning!
