Respect
begins at
home and
starts with
oneself
I
n this issue of Metalsa Life, we will delve into one of the beliefs
of our organizational culture model: “All human beings should
be treated with respect and dignity.”
At Metalsa we are convinced that respect is an indispensable
factor for creating an environment of safety and fellowship in
any area of life. Not only does it promote acceptance of others’
limitations and recognition of others’ virtues, but it also helps to
dissuade others from forcefully imposing their values by avoiding
offense behavior and sarcasm. Respect knows each human being
is autonomous and therefore accepts the individual right to be
different.
People who live by this belief are courteous and considerate
of others, including members of their family and friends, and are
concerned about their rights and wellbeing. They treat others
as valuable individuals, regardless of their race, gender, age or
ethnicity. Finally, they demonstrate their capacity for tolerance
towards those who do not share their personal beliefs or preferences, as long as others are not harmed.

Metalsa and live by it each day!
