Hello, there once again my wonderful and wicked "hive"! The time has come once again for the door to creak open, and for you to enter the macabre world of the "House Of Blood Scars & Sinister Stars"! I am your horror host Rob DiLauro, and once again I have conjured the fires of hell and insanity to bring you a "Double Creature Feature" that will sear your eyeballs like the contents of a dark cauldron simmering in the fire. First, we give love to what I would call the next incarnation of creature to infect popular culture like a black plague, witches! That's right, first it was the vampire, and they were overrun by zombies and eaten alive, and now is the season of the witch. Everyone is bringing the witch to life, shows such as "Penny Dreadful", "The Originals", Image has a comic series named "Witches". Hell, even your truly had written a three part book series

about powerful and vicious human witches thrust into the extreme world of the supernatural with "The Binding", there were no brooms, and no warts aside for the ones on their souls, and that is why I connect with our first guest tonight. I feel a kindred connection with show writer Adam Simon, the man is a comic book geek, a tried and true metal enthusiast, and a true grit horror fan. But these are not the simple reasons I feel this way, it is due to his hit show "Salem" which he conjured and brought to life with partner and television veteran, Brannon Braga. "Salem" is a show based in the reality of a horrible American past, thrust deeply into the comic book splash of a Marvel comic with the powerful and mindbending powers of the females on the series, and the sensibilities and pure horror of HP Lovecraft and Edgar Allan Poe, in a word, it is sheer brilliance! I had also taken the realistic route with the witch in my own trilogy, and mixed them with supervillainy and a gory and almost grindhouse style world, and that is why I feel Adam is what I call a "Witch Brother", and I am honored to have him in my abode. I spoke to Adam about his love for horror, his work with B movie King Roger Corman, his directorial efforts, and of course the show EVERY single horror fan should be watching, the dark and terrifying drama, "Salem".

So, take a seat by the cobwebbed bookshelf housing the kings of classic literature and watch the pyre in the fireplace as you picture a woman screaming in the crisp Boston night, you are about to receive a lesson in witches throughout the ages, and what brought this black tinged masterpiece to life in Adam's mind!
