DEAD DAVES RADIO MAGAZINE COVERS THE Year after year Mayhem Fest has provided an incredible line up featuring well known acts as well as some of the best up and coming acts to be found. No matter what your taste in metal, this years fest provided a broad range of musical talent to satisfy everyone featuring such heavy hitters like MushroomHead, Body Count, Trivium, Korn ,Avenged Sevenfold, Texas Hippie Coalition, Emmure, Suicide Silence, and Miss May I, just to name a few. The crowds were in full metal mode in front of the ColdCock Whiskey Stage early in the afternoon where temps neared 100, however that didn't stop these hard core fans. You would think that with temps being high and the sun bearing down, no one could pull off a pit. Everything is said to be bigger and badder in Texas and you should never underestimate a Texas crowd. The pit was in full effect and even band members engaged in crowd surfing as they gave their fans the experience they deserved by getting up close and personal. Merchandise from the bands could be had as well as a plethora of other items including hats, shirts, art, posters and jewelry from vendors that packed the common areas. As with all festivals, the lines were long with people vying for food, drinks and merchandise, however the lines moved fast and no one seemed to mind as everyone attending were in good spirits. The metal community is a brotherhood, a family of sorts, joined together in the love of music. Mayhem Fest this year seemed more like a family reunion than a music festival. Stories of drum circles and after hour parties were told time and time again always with new and different details. So as the curtain falls on yet another incredible Mayhem Fest season, we are left with a list of memories and photos until the next Mayhem Fest rolls around to melt our faces and assault our ears and DeadDavesRadio Magazine will be there reporting on the front lines with your favorite artists.
