What has been your greatest achievement as a band?
( TG) Supporting Breed77 is probably the biggest thing for me, not long after we were offered our first 2 headlining shows. It ' s been weird, being the opening band and working our way up so quickly!
( LS) Staying together this long??? Ha ha but in all seriousness, in my opinion, supporting Breed 77 which was the fifth time we had ever played live together. And they gave us a shout out during their set!!
( MR) For me aswel The Breed 77 Gig
( NS) To be honest, I’ d say that there have been many achievements in such the small amount of time of us being together. Be it just making a track from scratch or supporting a well-known band that we look up to. We have after all only just been all together for our first year and that to me is a pretty damn big achievement in itself. I guess that I like to look at what’ s to come rather than what has been and I hope, we will continue to progress the way that we are too big and better things.
What can the fans expect to see from your band at metal mash?
( MR) Loud and Powerful!!!!( TG) Huge amounts of energy. Hands down that is our biggest aspect. The riffs are just chaos.( LS) Well... Me, Nutzie and Miles all have wireless kits so we are always in and out of the crowds. We also have alot banter between songs with the fans as well as each other, which is something I don ' t see a lot of bands do. Not just talking y ' know.( NS) They need to expect the unexpected as I never know how any gig might go to be honest lol. All I know is that we love to play and that’ s just what we do.
Who are your inspirations as artists?
( NS) I draw inspiration from all over the shop and I have soooooooo many influences, which I have because of so many people and things in my life e. g. My friends, family and a lot of the 90’ s / 00’ s music TV, which is a shame we don’ t really have around anymore, as that was amazing how you could flick from one channel with Pearl Jam on and the flick over and see say System Of A Down, Sex Pistols, Drowning pool, Spineshank, The Clash. Just look at it now??? WTF??? Lol.( TG) For me its bands like Motörhead, The Who, Mötley Crüe and Led Zeppelin for drummers.( LS) It all boils down to Megadeth and Metallica man, For Whom The Bell Tolls was the song that made me wanna play guitar in the first place, then I heard about Megadeth and they just blew me away. In terms of song writing, pretty much everything from Bob Dylan to Bury Tomorrow, which I guess makes us unique as we don ' t just listen to one genre of music.( MR) I would personally say my inspirations as an artist would be from bassists that have achieved in giving the music they contribute to create an extra dimension of sound. Tweaking their gear to get an epic tone and style( Chris Wolstenholme, Muse- Fieldy, Korn), and plenty of slap for good measure( Flea, Red Hot Chili Peppers). Why sit in the background when you can make the most of your instrument and break the generic.
What ' s next for the band?
( TG) We just finished recording our first EP, now were playing the waiting game for mixing and mastering to be finished and then we can reveal a release date.( MR) Release date will be announced soon so watch this space.( LS) But in the meantime, we ' ll be playing shows when and wherever we can!!( NS) As the guys said, Ep’ s in the progress of being finished off and also lots of great gigs coming up. We hope that we can get around as much as possible really, so keep your ears to the ground and eyes glued to our Facebook page for info?
