Impossibly hard to define , describe and difficult to compare them as they drift in and out of genres and absolutely refuse to be pigeon holed . Truly old school where the music takes precedence to being in a particular genre , Ded Orse are heavy make no mistake but not for the sake of it . The quirky use of the blues , funk , metal , psychedelic rock and soul creates a truly genre bridging heavy rock sound . Which means Ded Orse are equally comfortable playing on bills with acoustic duo ’ s to hardcore death metal . Influences are clear but distorted ; early Black Sabbath , Clutch , Soundgarden , Grand Funk Railroad , the Sword , AC \ DC , Trouble but it is more often the more obscure music of these bands that Ded Orse most closely resembles .
