Dear Readers,
I am on the academic team, and it is a
wonderful thing because it encourages
me to try my best at
everything. I am
proud to be a member of the academic
team. I would like to
thank the academic
team for putting me
in a position where I
am learning new
things. These new
skills will help me in
the future. I would
like to encourage
everyone to try and
learn new things. On
the day of my first
quick recall competition I was nervous.
I thought I was going to not go into
the competition but
I did it was exiting
and difficult to answer the questions
that were given but
I had a fun time.
Sincerely,
Thiago
Quick Recall is a thrilling competition with questions that are thought provoking. In quick
recall your coaches have to see what you know, so once you join the team the coaches will
ask questions to determine the strengths and weaknesses of each team member. So in the
future, if you want to be on the quick recall team look forward to learning new things like how
to play the game and learning skills that will help your future self.
Competitions Happening
Quick Recall competitions are tough and thought provoking. Here are how they work. First,
we have to know where the competition is. Then, we prepare for the competition by studying
questions which is difficult. Last, when your at the competition you try your best and you
work together with your team. Also, you encourage other team members to have a fun time.
The Thinker
Do you know how quick recall works? Well I do so let me tell you how it works. First,
the coaches have to set the buzzer system for the students on the academic team. Second,
the students work together to answer questions. There are two types of questions: there are
toss up questions and bonus questions. The bonus questions are the questions that the team
works on together, but on toss up questions they do not work together as a team.
Conclusion
In conclusion, the academic team is a amazing thing to experience. If you join the team, you
will have a marvelous time learning new things that will help you in school and in your career
in the future. So always encourage your own learning.
