P ' soon to be released in 2022 ! Sarah is looking forward to returning to The Live Rooms , Chester on 9th December to support ' The South ' for a second time .
' I wrote this song last year just after the first lockdown . I really wanted to create a story about heartbreak and how sometimes you take things in life for granted and you don ' t know what you ' ve got until it ' s gone . It ' s a song about standing up for yourself and if you ' re not happy with something , you can change it . If you listen carefully to the lyrics there are powerful messages there . That ' s what I love about songwriting .' - Sarah J

Wirral music legends , Rob and Alan Fennah aka Alternative Radio return to the Floral Pavilion , Blue Lounge later this year for two nights only . The brothers have been a leading force in the music business since the early 1980s and are renowned for their ability to create a massive ' live ' sound with just two people .
Looking forward to their return to the Floral , Rob told Mersey Life today : " We formed in 1981 and I was reminded just the other day that it was four decades ago , so I guess it ’ s a happy accident to be doing what could be deemed a 40th anniversary show . Of course , the real reason is that both Alan and I have new solo albums to flog so doing a couple of gigs to promote them seemed like a good idea ."
The Wirral-based musician , writer and theatrical producer continued : " It ' s going to be fun getting back on stage to perform again . I ’ m just hoping we ’ ve still got the energy to play the fast ones like we used to . We will of course be doing all the old favourites with a smattering of new songs to keep it interesting .”
Alan continued : " During the pandemic we wouldn ' t have been able to get on stage - even if we ' d wanted to - so working on our respective solo albums while incarcerated kept us occupied and out of trouble . Rob and I discussed various release dates for the two albums and may even put them out on the same day ?"
Rob added : " Alan has his own home studio to record in whereas I recorded mine at the Motor Museum studio in Lark Lane . It was good to go back there again ; the last
was to record the Anfield Rap in 1988 , with Liverpool footballers Craig Johnston , John Barnes and the rest of the Red Machine .
Rob also has a message for fans and old chums . " Tickets are selling really well for the gigs so make sure you grab yours while you can ."
After leaving Hilbre School in 1975 , Rob formed Buster with Pete Leay , Kevin Roberts and Les Brians . Originally called ' The New Attraction ', the group played the cabaret circuit in North Wales before signing a major recording contract with RCA Records and enjoying huge success in Germany and Japan . The band split in 1981 and Rob went on to form Alternative Radio . They signed to EMI Parlophone Records in 1983 .
Outside his work with the band , Rob has written two successful stage plays , based on Hoylake author Helen Forrester ' s best-selling books Twopence to Cross the Mersey and By the Waters of Liverpool , together with a wholly original play called Lennon ’ s Banjo . All three are scheduled to tour the UK in 2022 and 2023 .
Rob also used lockdown to launch a guitar tutorial channel on YouTube – Fennah Rob - https :// www . youtube . com / channel / UCdPrFOPBnDY9xsYxRoG9e3Q The channel features more than 200 tutorials with Rob and all downloads to accompany the lessons are 100 % FREE !
