Tell us how Sunseeker began ? Poole Powerboats was started by Robert Braithwaite in 1969 . Based out of a garage in Poole , the first model was a Sovereign 17 in 1971 . Robert later re-branded as Sunseeker International in 1983 . Sunseeker International is the factory that we know today and is one of the largest manufacturers of luxury motor yachts in the world , a truly iconic global brand .
So who are Sunseeker Cheshire ? Sunseeker London Group are the main distributor for new and used Sunseeker product across Europe . They incorporate 40 offices in 20 countries , including 5 here in the UK - Cheshire , London , Poole , Southampton & Torquay .
How much are the boats you sell ? This is a very hard question to answer as it varies so much . We sell pre-owned boats from around £ 80k all the way to £ 30 + Million pounds for a new Sunseeker Ocean 460 .
Can you buy a boat on finance ? Yes we work alongside several well-established marine finance companies who offer similar lending products to the housing mortgage market .
Do I need a licence to operate a boat ? The official answer in the UK is NO , however we would encourage all owners to undertake an RYA training course , as a minimum . We can facilitate this during the purchasing process .
Do you sell only new boats ? We also offer extensive pre-owned dealer stock and brokerage through our subsidiary brand of Sunseeker Brokerage . We sell on average 150 + used boats per year across the group . This allows us to work with a wide selection of budgets and ensures clients get the most for their money .
Can I rent a boat ? Absolutely , Sunseeker Charters - another of our subsidiary businesses , offer many boats across Europe that can be chartered by the day or week .
Where are you based ? I generally travel between Southampton and Cheshire , however I have many clients based across Europe . We offer a very personal one to one service and will accompany our clients to view potential acquisitions , project managing a purchase or sale from start to finish .
