SPOOKY WELLY WALK
This October , Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation held its annual fundraising Spooky Welly Walks . They took place in Sefton Park , Liverpool , and Cannon Hill Park , Birmingham , where the autumnal scenes were magically transformed by Halloween-themed activities .
Children enjoyed such spooky delights as the Creepy Crafts , Bugfest Beauty Parlour , Zombie Fitness Zone , Cackling Cupcake Decorating , Yucky Dip and many more , before receiving a well-earned medal on reaching the finish line .
The 8,000 walkers who took part over the two weekends generated more than £ 63,000 . This astounding total was reached through online ticket sales and fiendishly effective fundraising by the many little monsters who persuaded family and friends to part with their cash to support the cause .
Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation is the only UK charity dedicated to supporting anyone affected by lung cancer . It is helping to build a future where people with lung cancer can live better , for longer .
