STRICTLY BALLROOM
The glitz and glamour of Strictly Ballroom returned to the Devonshire Hotel , with eight fabulous contestants taking to the floor with their partners from Martins Dance School last Saturday night .
Raising over £ 43,000 for Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation , the audience were wowed by wonderful waltzes , tantalising tangos and a showstopping samba , which clinched the Strictly crown .
“ It was wonderful to have everyone back together , supporting our amazing dancers and the thousands of people living with lung cancer ,” comments Paula Chadwick , chief executive of the Liverpool-based charity .
“ It ’ s been such a difficult time , especially for those with cancer and we are proud to have remained a constant source of support in the most uncertain of times .
The money raised will go a long way to ensure no one faces lung cancer alone and I want to thank everyone who was part of this incredible night , and in particular , the incredible team at Martins Dance Centre – John , Vicki , Claire and Mark . Here ’ s to next year !”
