Merri-Health
This month , I had the pleasure of welcoming Federal Health and Aged Care Minister Mark Butler MP and Local Member for Wills Peter Khalil MP to our Brunswick site .
They explored our communityfocused dental and medical services , innovative plans for a new health hub in the North , and how our extensive services are improving health outcomes for our diverse community .
Caring for someone with serious , incurable illness is one of the most challenging experiences in life . In response , we launched a new Palliative Carer Support program through Carer Gateway which provides sensitive , timely assistance to carers .
Alongside this , our merger exploration with Banyule Community Health is progressing positively , with staff consulting on the plan for change . Pending this , next are Special General Meetings for members , and the opportunity for community and clients to share in developing a new name and brand that represents our past and future vision for a merged New Organisation .
I am excited about the benefits our combined organisations can deliver , improving services for clients and community , and career opportunities for staff .
Read more in this edition , including updates on how we ’ re improving sites for clients , school program addressing genderbased violence , support for neurodivergent folks , and much more !
