Support for neurodivergent folks
A new program for neurodivergent queer people is supporting social connection , self advocacy , and strategies for success – as defined by you !
The Neuro Queer program has been designed by and for neurodivergent LGTBQIA + community members . It is a psychosocial support group , and the first of its kind in Merribek . Held in a safe and welcoming social space , it brings people together with the aim of :
connecting with other neurodivergent queer folk within our community learning valuable skills and strategies to support nervous system regulation deepening our understanding of ourselves and what it means to be neurodivergent exploring accommodations and how to self advocate broadening hobbies and interests
The Neuro Queer program is funded by the North Western Melbourne Primary Health Network . Thanks to positive feedback , we have received funding for another year .
