We ’ ve had a fantastic start to the year supporting the health and wellbeing of our communities .
This year , we ’ re thrilled to announce the launch of our brand-new ageing well service Well @ Home , supporting people who have a Home Care Package with fast access to high-quality clinical health services right in their home .
In response to community need , we have also introduced a new , one-of-a-kind Diabetes Clinic offering specialist wrap-around care for those with Type 2 diabetes .
Our innovative Parkinson ’ s Disease Group is helping people manage their condition and improve quality of life . It is the only group of its kind in the North , North-Eastern , and Western metro regions of Melbourne that spans private , public and community health sectors .
I ’ m also proud to share results from the 2023 Victorian Health Engagement Survey , independent research into people ’ s experiences with Community Health , conducted on behalf of the Victorian Department of Health . Merri Health outperformed the state average in more than 76 % of questions . Thank you to the 182 Merri Health clients who took part .
This month , I was delighted to join 150 community members and seven local sports clubs in Fawkner to celebrate International Women ’ s Day and champion gender equity in sport .
