Over 400 unpaid carers took centre stage at our Carers High Tea at the MCG . Sunshine and blue skies provided a joyous canopy for the High Tea that saw carers from across Victoria gather to enjoy some downtime at one of Australia ’ s premiere sporting venues .
The event was an opportunity for carers to come together and be acknowledged for the essential role they play every day .
Actor and comedian Genevieve Morris connected deeply with the audience as she shared her own bittersweet caregiving journey . Also , AFL legend Robert ‘ Dipper ’ DiPierdomenico ’ s

A very special 2023 Carers Week Luncheon !
Over 100 carers gathered at the Casa D ’ Abruzzo in Epping for our annual Carers Week Luncheon .
The luncheon brings together carers from all over Melbourne ’ s Northern and Western suburbs for an unforgettable day of food and activities .
Attendees enjoyed a range of activities and stalls including professional massage , tea-leaf making , tarot card reading and a party photobooth , followed by a three-course meal and raffle prizes .
Feedback from the day was incredibly positive , with many carers showing gratitude for the time and effort that had gone into making the luncheon a successful event .
Merri Health is dedicated to celebrating the remarkable efforts of unpaid carers , offering them a day of pampering and recognition while providing an opportunity to socialise and connect with fellow carers .
