CULTURALLY SAFE AND INCLUSIVE SITES AND SERVICES
Ensuring our sites and services are welcoming , culturally safe and accessible is crucial to improve health outcomes . We conduct cultural site audits biannually to monitor our performance and identify barriers . Sites are assessed against nine criteria .
What did we achieve ?

100 % meeting all 9 criteria

7.75 / 9 across all sites , an improvement from 5.95 in 2019
100 % of sites displayed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander flags and an Acknowledgement of Country plaque
all sites displayed Aboriginal artwork and symbols of welcome outside of reception .
Where can we improve ?
• our Moreland Rd site scored 3 / 9 , several areas for improvement were identified
• providing relevant service brochures and reading material at all sites
• displaying Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander flag window stickers at all sites

• addressing the gaps identified at sites
• auditing our Wangaratta site
PARTNERSHIPS POWERING COMMUNITY-LED RECONCILIATION
This year , we partnered with diverse community members in Merri-bek , providing grants and resource packs for 30 community-led National Reconciliation Week events , attended by more than 350 people .
We also partnered with Brunswick Secondary College to deliver Be Upstanding ! racism training to seven teachers and more than 200 students , to help students learn how to call out racism and build a community of allies .
