COVID-19 Safety , Support and Vaccinations

Through the pandemic , we expanded our services , stepped up COVID-19 safety support , vaccination delivery and education , and responded to community needs to keep vulnerable residents safe .
HIGH-RISK ACCOMMODATION RESPONSE ( HRAR )
We took integrated health , social and welfare support directly to residents in high-risk , high density accommodation settings in Merri-bek as part of the Victorian Government ’ s High-Risk Accommodation Response ( HRAR ).
Working collaboratively with wide-ranging partners including DPV Health and Merri Outreach Support Services ( MOSS ), we accessed very hard-to-reach cohorts , built trust , broke down health literacy barriers , and provided tailored responses .
Our on-the-ground assistance included vaccination promotion , ‘ in-reach ’ vaccinations , COVID prevention ,
HRAR team at pop-up vaccine clinic outbreak management , and actively supporting social and economic recovery so these vulnerable communities did not fall through the gaps .
What did we achieve ? *
2,633 residents supported at over
1,160 dwellings
28 outbreaks supported within facilities that required wholeof-site management
15 local pop-up events with vaccination clinics
95 % of high-rise residents and
90.7 % of supported residential accommodation residents triple vaccinated
1003 care packs distributed
432 residents in isolation provided with food and essentials
provided

service linkages for residents
featured in International Federation of Community Health Centres bulletin
funding extended three times to June 2023 following strong results
