What did we achieve ?
We completed an evaluation of the four-year project and achieved :
30,000 + community members reached
160 + community-led events supported , including 90 Harmony Day parties
450 + participants
86 % of the Great Idea Program participants felt they had the skills to host a project in their community
75 % of the Harmony Day Party Program participants learned about new cultures and traditions
21 community members supported to lead community projects , including art installations , cultural cooking workshops and more
over 80 % of readers from The Fawkner Times increased feelings of connection to the community and learned about different cultures

Where can we improve ?
• COVID-19 impacts resulted in providing online support and extending dates for The Great Idea Program
FOSTERING LEADERSHIP , CONNECTION AND DIVERSITY IN THE COMMUNITY
Following the successful Hello , Fawkner ! program , we were proud to launch Hello , Moreland ! this year and engage communities in a broader area .
This one year project included a community leadership program ( The Great Idea Program ), small grants Party Program and activities to build relationships and share information .
77 % of participants increased social connections / networks
81 % increased knowledge and appreciation of different communities
86 % of participants felt more confident in leading community projects / initiatives
• feedback indicated that the use of credit cards is one of the biggest challenges of participating in the program . Unfortunately , we could not provide funds directly to ommunity members in any other format .
What ’ s next
• the funding for Hello , Fawkner ! has finished , however we have trialled an expansion to a new Hello , Moreland ! program
• a ‘ Farewell Hello , Fawkner !’ event that brings together partners and participants
• considering how the program initiatives can be used in other areas to support community-led outcomes
The Party Program provided $ 100 grants to support community-led events .
With a focus on celebrating culture and learning something new , we collaborated with 45 community members to decide significant dates to celebrate : International Women ’ s Day , Harmony Day , IDAHOBIT , National Reconciliation Week .

Where can we improve ?
• COVID-19 impacted attendance with limited numbers for some activities
• TGIP was delivered in four months , rather than the planned six , resulting in less time for project design and promotion
What ’ s next
• Hello , Moreland ! funding extended for another year and the program will re-launch as Hello , Merri-bek ! focused on engaging multicultural woman in Fawkner , Glenroy and Hadfield .
