Attendance was great and the bids flowing at the 2022 Power of the Purse , the first since 2019 due to the pandemic . Organizers planned a “ sensational event ” at the MSU Riley Center . Sponsored by the Women ’ s Leadership Council of the United Way of East Mississippi , proceeds from the event go to the Imagination Library , which provides thousands of books to area children each year .
