Who do you look to for inspiration or mentorship ? I find inspiration in a variety of people and thing ’ s . Especially , my father who was my mentor . The lessons I learned from my father were the meaning of respect , both giving and receiving . Make someone smile be polite , friendly and treat people well .
Where do you see yourself in 5 years ? 10 years ? Doing what I ’ m doing now , making people laugh and giving some guidance in a young person decision making .
Where did your spirit of altruism develop and why is it important to give back ? From my parents , whom taught me to always help those who needed it . The also taught me when someone helps you out , return the favor by doing the same .
What is your community ’ s greatest asset ? Each other . Only the community knows the problems they face . Members of a community may have different opinions and perceptions , on what would it take to make their community better . But it is up to the community to put their differences aside and come together achieve their goal .
What ’ s your favorite saying and why ? “ Straighten up and fly right .” Meaning no excuse for slouching .
