Who do you look to for inspiration or mentorship ? I have looked to a number of people for inspiration . As a young child , I dreamed of being “ the next Oprah .” Seeing a woman from Mississippi be so wildly successful was inspiring for me to watch . My parents are also a great source of inspiration for me . They are the definition of supportive and have always inspired me to never place limits on myself .
Where did your spirit of altruism develop and why is it important to give back ?: My spirit of altruism is attributed to my dad . He has always been a leader who has a real passion for our community and especially for working with young people . Watching him inspired me to be that same type of leader . What ’ s your favorite saying and why ? “ Faith without works is dead .” It can be easy to sit and wait for things to unfold , but I like to use this Biblical scripture to motivate myself to not only pray and dream big but to actually put the work in to achieve my goals .
