Season of Giving

The Salvation Army of Meridian

Helping those in need for 120 years

For 120 years , The Salvation Army of Meridian has been presenting the Gospel of Jesus Christ and assisting those in need with food , clothing , furniture , other needs all because of the people of the Lauderdale , Kemper , Neshoba , and Newton Counties and their support of what we do every day .
This Christmas , our Angel Trees and Red Kettles are out at the local stores and mall . Because you care , we continue to help those in need with our Christmas Programs by adopting an angel or dropping your change into our Red Kettles . What the
Lt . Roy E . Fisher community does every day to support The Salvation
Army financially keeps our Church Services , Youth / Character Building Programs , Older Adult Ministries , Food Pantry , and Family Store going to help those in need with clothes , shoes , furniture , and Emergency Disaster Services . With the continued support of the friends of The Salvation Army , we will be able to enhance our programs , and in the coming months bring the new Salvation Army Community Center into reality with innovative programs coming into reality .
As the new commanding officer , I have been blessed to be able to meet so many new people and begin forming relationships and partnerships with so many agencies and leaders of such an amazing community .
The Salvation Army of Meridian is looking forward to the next 120 years here in the counties that we serve every day . Every day is giving back to the community and to first present the Gospel of Jesus .
The Salvation Army Mission Statement clearly states who we are in 133 countries and especially here in Meridian . It says , “ The Salvation Army , an international movement , is an evangelical part of the universal Christian church .
Its message is based on the Bible . Its ministry is motivated by the love of God . Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination .” This is what I live to do everyday for the Kingdom of God and for the Meridian Community .
If you ever have any questions or want to know more , we are always here to answer your questions .
May God continue to richly Bless you and your family , and Merry Christmas from The Salvation Army of Meridian .
His Messenger of Reconciliation , Lt . Roy B . Fisher Commanding Officer , The Salvation Army of Meridian
