“ In 2023 , my first resolution will be to finish my goals for the previous year ,” said Candace Morris , a human resources specialist with the Meridian Public School District . “ They may have been delayed , but not denied . What does it mean to finish what we start ? We are to tie up loose ends , reach the finish line , or perhaps even finish by a ceremony . All of 2023 I am taking time out for myself . I am learning to say no to things that do not bring me peace and focus on all the good things that are yet to come . In life , we always put ourselves on the back burner . Whether it be because of the kids , work , family life , etc . I want to invest more in myself . I plan to learn a new trade , put it to use , venture out into the community more , and possibly start my first book . I want to travel more with my kids in 2023 , showing them new things and learning new things with them as well . Knowledge is the key for them to succeed in this world and I want to make sure they have all the tools they need to excel . My New Years ’ resolutions are not complicated . As an individual , I must put forth my best foot and thrive in this thing called life .”
