Less than a month later , Cannon , Croft and Nave traveled to New Orleans to participate in a Corvette car show in the Crescent City that drew more than 400 entries from across the Southeast . Again , their cars each picked up a winning trophy , placing among the top 200 cars at the event .
Cannon said the association is currently open for new memberships and is open to all races , nationalities and both male and female members .
“ All we ’ re concerned about is that you love Corvettes and you want to participate in Corvette activities ,” he said , adding they especially welcome any female members . “ To see women driving their own Corvette and not just riding with their husband or boyfriend is an inspirational tool for other young ladies .”
Cannon said he sees a lot of interest in Corvettes with the younger generation , they just have a difficult time affording the car .
