Meridian ’ s Lora Tucker ‘ farms ’ fresh veggies , herbs from the comfort of her home

Even in the coldest winter months , Lora Tucker has no problem finding lettuce , peppers , tomatoes or herbs for her favorite recipes . All she has to do is look around her kitchen . For the last four years , Tucker has grown fresh vegetables and herbs in her house using a form of gardening called hydroponics , which uses a solution of water and nutrients instead of soil to grow plants .
