The flower girls were Scarlett Ann Countiss , niece of the bride ; Mary Lynnon Jernigan , niece of the groom ; and Mildred Manning Gowdey , cousin of the groom . The ring bearer was James Harris Jernigan , nephew of the groom . The bride ’ s proxy was Ross Blake . Hayden Burns , cousin of the bride , Madeline Rose Collins and Caroline Melancon , friends of the bride , read scripture during the ceremony and served as program attendants . Lauren Raye Goodman , George Ballou and Jack Rush served as acolytes , torch and crucifix bearers .
Following the ceremony , the parents of the bride hosted a reception at Northwood Country Club in Meridian . Upon arrival , guests were greeted with butler-passed champagne and jazz music provided by the band , Azz-IzZ . The foyer was beautifully draped with white stain fabric adorned with vibrant flowers . The main stairwell in the clubhouse was lined with candles and fanciful floral garlands .
An array of delicious foods and cocktails were provided for the guest by Northwood Country Club . A five-tiered white wedding cake , accented by colorful cascades of flowers , was displayed on an acrylic box filled with flowers atop a piece of the mother of the bride ’ s veil . The groom ’ s cake was a three-tiered chocolate ganache cake along with chocolate covered strawberries . The cakes were made by Carolyn ’ s Creations . The guest enjoyed dancing throughout the evening to the tunes of Azz-IzZ Band from Atlanta . As the celebration concluded , guest lined the driveway of Northwood with sparklers in hand bidding farewell to the bride and groom as the coupled departed in a 1941 black Cadillac provided by Way Back In Time vintage car service .
