Martha Washington Balls

Yield : 24 Balls
Ingredients :
• 2 pounds powdered sugar
• 1 can sweetened condensed milk
• 2 cups flaked coconut
• 2 cups pecans , chopped finely
• 2 sticks unsalted butter
• 1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract
• 1 ( 16-ounce ) package chocolate chips
• 1 stick paraffin wax or 2 tablespoons shortening ( such as Crisco )
Directions :

In a mixer , combine powdered sugar , milk , coconut , pecans , butter and vanilla .
2 .
Line a baking sheet with waxed paper , roll dough into 1-inch balls , place on pan and
freeze overnight .
3 .
Create a double boiler ( a saucepan with 1 cup of water , bring to a boil , top with a glass
bowl ) and melt chocolate chips and wax .
4 .
Dip balls in chocolate mix with toothpicks .
5 .
Place back on lined sheet pan , allow to set up and serve .
