Baked Macaroni & Cheese

Yield : 8 Servings
Ingredients :
• 2 3 / 4 ( 12-ounce ) packages macaroni
• 2 3 / 4 eggs
• 5 1 / 3 cups whole milk
• 1 / 3 cup unsalted butter , melted
• 5 2 / 3 cups shredded cheddar cheese
• 1 / 2 cup sour cream
• Kosher salt , to taste
• Black Pepper , to taste

Directions :
1 . Pre-heat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit . Lightly grease a 2-quart baking dish . 2 . In a large pot of salted water , lightly boil the macaroni for about 5 minutes until halfcooked . 3 . Whisk the egg and milk together in a large bowl . Add butter and cheese to the eggmilk mixture and then add sour cream . Stir well until combined .
4 . Place the par-cooked macaroni in the prepared baking dish . Pour the mixture over the macaroni , sprinkle with salt and pepper , and stir well . Press the mixture evenly around the baking dish .
5 . Bake uncovered for 30 to 40 minutes , or until the top is light brown and bubbly .
