When Meridian Community College Culinary Arts Program instructors An Howard Hill and Anthony McOlgan were approached by The Meridian Star with the idea of producing a cookbook showcasing their students ’ talents , they knew it was a must-do . After all , it was another way to demonstrate the excellence of the program .
The MCC students submitted and prepared their favorites – from writing the recipes to testing the dishes . This Holiday Cookbook reveals the fruits of their labor .
And the College couldn ’ t have a cookbook without paying tribute to the late Mark Chandler , the Hotel and Restaurant Management Technology Program coordinator and instructor , who taught at MCC for more than two decades . Respected by colleagues , friends , and students , Chandler believed food could bring people together . His secret recipe for his famous Bread Pudding is in this publication . It is a special way for us to ensure his legacy lives on . We hope when you enjoy this fan-favorite you think of our cherished friend Mark .
