Place the potatoes in a colander and rinse them in cold water . Place potatoes in a pot |

Bring the water to a boil and cook until fork tender , approximately 20 to 25 minutes . |

Drain the potatoes and then return them to the pot with the burner on low . Mash the |
potatoes with a potato masher . Mash approximately 5 minutes . Turn burner off . | |

Add the butter , cream cheese , half-and-half and seasoning . Stir to combine , and if |
needed , add milk . Season with salt and pepper to taste . | |

Pour mashed potatoes into a large casserole pan . Dot the surface with butter . Cover with |
foil and bake in oven for 15 minutes . Remove foil and continue baking for 10 minutes . | |
