Not long before Catherine McAuley died , she said to one of the sisters : “ Be sure you have a comfortable cup of tea for them when I am gone .”
Ever since , the comfortable cup of tea has been a symbol of warmth and compassion , values that are at the heart of the Mercy mission .
During Mercy Week , the Gwynedd Mercy University Community gathers together for “ Mercy Tea ,” sharing conversation and baked goods .
In light of the current situation , members of our University Community shared their favorite recipes that are reflected in this book .
While we can ’ t gather together in person this year , we hope you find some time to make a cup of tea and enjoy one of these delicious recipes .
