Granola Continued

Directions 1 . Heat oven to 225 °.
2 . Cover two cookie sheets with foil then spray with oil . You can skip the foil ; it just makes cleanup easier .
3 . Mix dry ingredients in a big bowl . 4 . Bring liquid ingredients to a simmer on the stove until combined , then stir into dry ingredients .
5 . Stir in Craisins or other dried fruit . ( Can also do later , if you like your fruit less crunchy .)
6 . Optional : add high quality chocolate chips . . . depends on how dessert-like you want !
7 . Spread mixture out on cookie sheets and bake for several hours until nice & crunchy .
8 . If you have a gas oven you can even leave them in the TURNED OFF oven overnight . The trick to this is to bake it low and slow !
NOTE : This freezes well , so feel free to double the recipe so you have some to pull out when it ’ s too hot to run the oven all day .
