Clients can be crazy creatures! What is the most obscure request your have had when being commissioned for a weave?

My clients have on the whole been supportive and positive. I am not at the point where clients just give a very loose criteria and allow me almost full artistic freedom. I love it when i am asked to create a piece with a 'vibe' - a piece to symbolise new beginnings, A piece to hang in the home of a sea-change, a piece to honour a new husband.

Before moving to Brooklyn for husby, Aaron’s, career with Etsy, you were based in Melbourne. What do you miss about beautiful

This question is a little cliché, but for our readers who weave or are looking to begin, what advice do you have for them?

Weave every day - just a little bit. And try something new on every piece you make - whether it is a new fibre, colour story or technique. Keep pushing yourself and your work.. Dont sell your work for at least 6 months. Really hone your skills to make sure that when you do sell, it is the best you can do and you can be proud and charge what they are worth. It makes me sad to see people selling their weaves for $50 on Etsy. Give away your first weaves to family and friends. They will love them and you will be able to keep practicing until you are ready to sell.
