038//SITING DOWN WITH

Orange is a little off the beaten track. Instagram has totally been the most amazing driving force behind the growth of my business. It has been the perfect platform to build my brand and its' personality, the story of Jumbled, create a conversation with our customer, get direct feedback immediately, drive sales. It provides a large audience to see your product. I am able to let my followers know what has just arrived in store, direct access many times in the day without being annoying for little to no cost at all.

What is one Jumbled product you can't live without?

Kezz Brett's paintings! They are always evolving and she is constantly suprising me! Kezz is also my mum which a lot of people don't realise. It works really well as I can let her know exactly what customers are after. I can request certain colours that I know will work perfectly with a new collection that is arriving in store or a display that I am merchandising. I am so proud of how far she has come in such a short period of time. Her art doesn't last long in store as it is usually snapped up immediately. It is bright, playful, fun, brave and bold.

-Create zones when you are styling. The corner might be inspired by a particular room, a new piece that has arrived or even a colour.

-When photographing your styling pull back on your shot. I used to shoot tight, but I have worked out that people want to see the whole picture...again MORE IS MORE!

-Straight lines! Shoot things exactly front on or from directly above. If you have all lines running straight with each other, you will be amazed by the difference it makes. People laugh when they walk in and I am balancing on top of a ladder or crouching down on the floor backed up in a corner trying to get the perfect shot.

.

-I dream of space, but you can work with the tiniest of spaces. I know the spaces that work best for me in store, and what time of day the light is right.

-White, bright and clear.

You have over 30,000 followers on Instagram - quite an achievement! What role has social media and internet played in the success of Jumbled?
