It's hard to deny the particular partiality the world is showing to the woodland design style at the moment. We're seeing deer, foxes, tree stumps, and it can be laborious to wade through the trend and hit the jackpot. Well, my friends, wade right through to Woodlands and Co. The creative brainchild of Rachel, Woodlands and Co. creates a variety of products such as cutesy science beaker vases and beautiful wooden necklaces, however, our love heart eyes are entranced with Rachel's handpainted watercolour prints. Oh. My. Word.

Woodlands and Co. was birthed earlier this year when Rachel decided she needed a little more creativity in her life. So she did what every crazy creative person does and started her own business whilst still working full time. Despite all the business jargon and start up procedures, Rachel confesses that fear of failure was her biggest hurdle.

"I think the hardest thing about starting Woodlands and Co. was taking the leap of faith to put my works on display. I love painting and I am very glad that I didn't let the fear of failure stop me from trying

and sharing my artworks for all to see!" We for one are very glad Rachel overcame her fears as her artwork is truly magical. It wouldn't be ridiculous to assume that Rachel puts a piece of her bared soul into each artwork she lovingly cultivates, and the results are spectacular. Her prints range from pomegranates to flamingos (Umm you had me at pomegranate. Yum. That could be my animalistic pregnancy hunger kicking it....) all carefully composed on simple backgrounds so that the hero of the print is distinct. When asked where she finds inspiration, Rachel's response shows her appreciation for beauty, colour and life:

"The better question is where don't I find inspiration! I get inspiration from friends and family, and from the world around me. I get inspiration from my travels to places such as India and Bangladesh where the colours are amazingly vibrant. Basically where I can find something beautiful, I draw on it."

Woodlands and Co. have a shop on Etsy where you can purchase Rachel's stellar work. They also have an instagram feed which you can follow by clicking here.
