the-art RNLI College in Poole is far
more than a training centre on the
banks of Poole Harbour. Riggers restaurant
is open to the public and offers private dining
for Christmas with sea view function rooms
for groups of 20+. Lunch comes in at £24.50,
dinner for £29.50. It’s an imaginative, quirky
spread that includes parsnip and chestnut
soup, tofu salad and smoked salmon and
prawns with guacamole among the starters,
and roast turkey, baked hake and pan-seared
breast of chicken among the mains. Finish
strong with Christmas pudding or red velvet
Bundt cake – safe in the knowledge that every
pound you spend goes towards saving lives
at sea.
