t's taken five years from concept to completion for Groves Nurseries' impressive new
onsite restaurant, Ivy House, to open its doors in Bridport. That's nothing compared
to the origins of the name though, which was inspired by Ivy House in Piddletrenthide,
where the Great-great-great-great Grandfather of present Managing Director Charlie
Groves first established a successful seed growing business in 1866.
Now officially open for breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea, Ivy House has 160 seats
and a futher 100 alfresco covers. The new menu includes salads, sharing platters,
vegetarian and gluten-free options, and as the premises are fully licensed, a glass of wine,
beer or cider can be enjoyed with your meal.
