Well they are a little ray of sweet
sunshine at this time of year and will
always be welcome in our stockings.
As will Brussels sprouts, at least on
our plates anyway. Get them fresh
enough and you can shred them and
eat raw. Look out too for beetroot,
Bramley apples and walnuts – all at
the peak of their powers.
You can unroll a clementine
instead of peeling. Cut off
the top and bottom, score
through the skin and then
‘unwrap’ it, smugly, at
your desk.
