NEWS Ajar Of 's range looks great and tastes as good as ever. Seeing Jars Dates FOR YOUR FOODIE DIARY… T racey Collins’ jars of jam, marmalade and chutney grace the shelves of many a Dorset food lover’s larder. To celebrate five years of award-winning preserving, Ajar Of’s range now has a fresh new look. Partly this was down to having to include barcodes and nutritional information but it’s fair to say Tracey’s jars have never looked better. Look out for her newest products – a relaunched pasta sauce range which follows traditional Italian recipes. Tracey said: “I am loving the new look, it has given a fresh outlook and direction to where Ajar Of is going in the future!” For more information go to ajar-of.co.uk 18 With Knobs On T he sky will still be full of flying biscuits but the location of this year’s Dorset Knob Throwing and Food Festival on Sunday 30th April is different. To celebrate 10 years the event is moving to a more practical venue at Kingston Maurward in Dorchester, as reported in Menu issue 14. The fact is, this village fundraiser for Cattistock has now outgrown its village. The move to Kingston Maurward college will allow this year’s festival to be the biggest yet. As well as the main event, the Knob Throwing contest, they will continue to have all the family fun games you’d expect like splat the knob, knob & spoon race, pin the knob on the giant, knob or no knob and more. And when you tire of the knob related activities, the festival is one of the biggest food and drink events in the county, full of some of the best local producers and stalls.
