Angeina Jolie
Angelina Jolie is known for her wonderful acting, filmmaking, and humanitarianism in the world. She has won an Academy Award, three Golden Globe awards, and two Screen Actors Guild Award. Jolie also has the highest salary of all actresses in Hollywood. The world thinks that Jolie has had a wonderful life, but Angelina also had some pretty big obstacles in her life. Angelina struggled with self-harm and depression as a teenager. Angelina says “I always felt caged.” “I was searching for something deeper, something more.” She seemed to enjoy a little bit of risk, according to Cis Rundle, Angelina’s mom’s best friend. Rundle noticed she liked to dip her fingers in candle wax when she was a little kid. Also, Rundle observed how Jolie hardly ever ate, and was always being put down. Many people made fun of her because she didn’t have the ideal typical body. Another struggle in Jolie’s life was her mother ended up dying at the age of 56 from ovarian cancer.
Brad Pitt, who used to be Angelina’s husband helped a lot with Angelina’s self harm and depression. She knew that he loved her for who she is. She knows that her kids love her too. Knowing these things allowed Angelina to feel more confident about herself and her oddities since her family was there to support her. Overall, Angelina is doing better now, and isn’t worried about being different as much anymore. She cares more about keeping her family safe, and staying connected. These priorities help keep her focused. Another way that helped bring Angelina out of her time of self-harm was she doesn’t allow herself or her family to hear about what the world thinks of her, and her friends help by not telling her. Jolie has reached a better spot in her life.
