Burnout is a state of chronic stress that leads to physical and emotional exhaustion, cynicism, detachment and feelings of ineffectiveness and lack of accomplishment. Continual exposure to stressful situations can lead to this condition. There are various steps to take to help you manage burnout. Everyone is different on their road to recovery. Ask for help when you start to feel disengaged or burnt out and strive to live a life of engagement.
Here are some ways to help manage burnout:
Practice mindfulness to reduce stress.
Mindfulness, defined as non-judgmental, moment to moment awareness, has been shown to bring about various psychological effects including increased wellbeing and improved behavioral regulation.
Taking care of yourself should be top priority.

Building a professional network can not only help with clinical support but also with personal support.
Stick to your schedule.
Burnout is often the result from lack of discipline in how time is divided up. A way to prevent this is by scheduling work and downtime activities and sticking to them.
