They must to be egoist, they have to remain a good physical image and self-presentation, and so on. On the other hand, this article helps us to demonstrate in our essay how men where force to maintain an image to be someone relevant in Victorian Society. Not all men were or behave like that, so probably they were rejected and put as the worst thing for the community. The fact that most men where handsome and physically respected does not mean that they all were good persons on the inside. A good example is Dr. Jekyll, who was a handsome doctor who had to transformed himself into a horrible being to satisfy his desire for violence. So the real beast and criminal was not Mr. Hyde but Dr. Jekyll. Therefore, this article shows how the stereotypes mark the way men should look and behave to be respected in society, but it is important to defend the fact that it is only a dumb stereotype where only a few fit.
