Summary of the
project
The Youth Exchange “MENS SANA IN CORPORE
SANO” was the result of a shared visions among
all the partners involved and aimed towards
bringing a group of youths together in order to
take a look at this Europe’s nowadays
environmental issues as well as to discuss and
brainstorm different solutions.
One of the greatest problems that the world is
facing today is that of environmental pollution,
increasing with every passing year and causing
grave and irreparable damage to the earth.
According to the World Health Organization
pollution is one of the biggest global killers,
affecting over 100 million people. That’s
comparable to global diseases like malaria and
HIV. Photography is a creative way of raising
awareness and an excellent tool for expressing
the ecological issues that affect our environ-
ment. This project not only highlighted the ex-
isting eco-problems, but it also encouraged
people, especially youngsters to search for an
ecologically helpful solution.
The project's main objective was to include the
youngsters in the pressing environmental mat-
ter and to inspire them to engage in its im-
provement by raising awareness in their com-
munities. The youngsters were be encouraged
to express their view on the ecological problem
through pictures that they took and presented
at online exhibit.
