Day 6 – Day out in Bari
During the sixth day, the group of participants were taken by the hosting
organisation to Bari, the capital city of the Apulia region. The tour of the city
started at the University Aldo Moro of Bari where they were welcome by the
team of the university. Once arrived, the GreenRope organization which
worked with Sof Italy during this project and which members supervised
several activities had the opportunity to explain more in detail what they work
consists in. They could explain how the members of GreenRope are committed
to the protection and conservation of the environment and biodiversity and to
the topic of sustainable development. They want to give values to their
territories and to raise awareness among the population about protection the
environment. The work of GreenRope matches perfectly with the vision that
the members of Sof Italy shared with the participants in this youth exchange.
Afterwards, the participants gathered at the language school Passaporto Italia
where they tried the typical Foccacia from Bari.
