the teams to overtime. Neither team
could gain the upper hand, resulting in
the 2-2 tie.
“Derek has impressed from the
start with his patience with the puck and
offensive ability he has shown,” Aitken
said. “He continues to earn more playing
time and is being relied on more in key
situations such as the power-play, penalty
kill and last minute situations.”

The Bulldogs flushed out their
frustrations on Saturday, scoring six
unanswered goals. Three of the six came on a two-man advantage five-minute major power-play.
With only four regular season home games remaining for the Sabres, Aitken applauded the
support that the team has received from the community.
