ey there, I am Adam Hill, the voice the Sabres. This column will go along with the
usual preview and game notes each week. It will be more of fun article about
things that don’t usually make it into the game previews or the box score.
The column will include fun stories and off the wall topics. This week I thought I
would talk about the things that I’m most excited for the upcoming season.
November is only a few days away and that means the players will start
growing their mustaches for Movember. It is great to see men raise awareness for
prostate cancer, and bring the ’stache back for a month. I’m always jealous of anyone
who can grow a mustache, because I simply cannot. This year I want to see a “Fu-ManChu” or a “Rollie Fingers” mustache on the team. In the coming game notes, I’ll provide updates on how
the face pieces are coming in.
I’m excited about the renovations to my “Winter Home”. The Blue Line Family Ice Center has
made many changes to the rink this year and it looks and great. They have added wall art of all of the
teams and programs that play there. It really shows you that Fond du Lac is a hockey town and lots of
great teams play here.
