Men's Health Awareness Month November 2021 | Page 25

The time that we have passed through the pandemic has been able to provide a protective shield for many people who felt this fear of relating to the world, and it has served them to hide, assuming more significant vertigo when returning to it and increasing much more the levels of anxiety added by the insecurity of the situation.

Loneliness in the Pandemic

But, on the other hand, the isolation and social distances that this pandemic has forced us to have as a protection measure have meant that many people have seen their interactions reduced and have even been able to lose their loved ones, having to face the loneliness not voluntarily sought, but necessarily found. And this has been able to increase the feeling of loneliness without, a priori, the possibility of finding a friendly solution to their situation, generating even more the feeling of emptiness.

Therefore, it is essential to allow yourself to feel and validate these feelings, but try to look for options and even resort to professional help that will make you regain your expectations again and teach you to find a way to live your new life again.
