Testosterone

Levels of testosterone in men start to become high as early as age 13, and are at its peak at the age of 20. It starts to lower significantly after the age of 40. Testosterone is measured through blood tests and is responsible for a number of things, a few are for regulating fat distribution, muscle strength and muscle mass, less testosterone can make it harder to burn calories. Having high testosterone could be a good reason that one may burn quick calories, but testosterone levels do not change overnight. So when does it become a problem?

* Diminshed Muscle Mass

* Increased Body Fat

* Changes in Testes

* Fatigue

* Lack of Motivation and Concentration

* Depression

* Decrease Sex Drive

* Difficulty in Achieving Erections

* Loss of Muscle Mass

* Interrupted Sleep

As bad as low testosterone sounds, Excess testosterone is no good too. It can lead to more aggressive and irritable behavior, more acne and oily skin, even worse sleep apnea (if you already have it), and an increase in muscle mass. With too much testosterone pumping through your system, you may have a lower sperm count (due to decreased sperm production) and shrunken testicles.
