remaining. WWU shot 55.2 percent (69-of-125) in the two
wins.
Nov. 24-30: Julian Nichols, Western Oregon (G, 6-2, 175,
Jr. Upland, CA) scored 51 points and also 10 rebounds, a
team-high 14 assists and six steals in leading the Wolves to
three road West Region victories, including a 67-52 win at
2014 playoff qualifier Dixie State. Nichols made 15 of 31
field goal attempts and also converted on 19 of 20 foul
shots. Twenty-six of his points came in Saturday’s 83-73
win at the Academy of Art.
Western Washington: Jeffrey Parker scored 41 points and
Anye Turner had 26 points and 23 rebounds as the Vikings
split two games. Turner had 24 of his points and 15 of his
rebounds in a 81-76 loss to Alaska Anchorage, a game in
which WWU rallied from a 25-point deficit, pulling to
within three points twice in the final minute.
Dec. 1-7: Dom Williams, Central Washington (G, 5-11, Sr.,
Tacoma, WA – Curtis & Tacoma CC) scored 50 points and
also had 10 assists and just one turnover in wins over
Montana State Billings and defending GNAC champion
Seattle Pacific. He had a career-high 31 points and five
assists in an 88-79 win over MSUB Thursday, connecting
on 11 of 20 shots, including 5-of-7 three-pointers. Williams
then added 19 points and five assists in a 73-67 victory
against SPU Saturday, converting on 4-of-7 three-point
shots. The win snapped a four-game CWU losing streak to
the Falcons. For the week, Williams made 18-of-37 shots
(48.6 percent), including 9-of-14 three-pointers. He also
converted on 5-of-6 foul shots.

Dec. 8-14: Mitch Penner, Seattle Pacific (F, 6-5, Jr., Seattle,
WA – Kennedy) scored 26 points and also had 11
rebounds, three steals and two blocks to lead the Falcons
to a 100-67 win over George Fox. Penner, who made 7-of12 field goal attempts, was perfect from the foul line
connecting on 11-of-11.
Dec. 15-21: Shawn Reid, Seattle Pacific (F, 6-4, Sr., Post
Falls, ID) scored a team-best 36 points shooting 71.4
percent in leading the Falcons to wins over Dixie State (7666) and Rollins (74-54) in the Las Vegas Challenge. Reid
made 15-of-21 shots, including 5-of-9 three-pointers. He
also led the Falcons with three steals. Reid came off the
bench against Dixie State with SPU trailing 17-2 and scored
30 points in just 18 minutes to rally SPU to the 10-point
win. Reid, whose previous SPU career-high was 13, made
12 of 15 shots, including 5-of-7 from the arc.

Nov. 10-16 – Jeffrey Parker, Western Washington (F, 6-6,
So., Richmond, CA – Salesian) and Joseph Stroud, Central
Washington (F, 6-8, Jr., Las Vegas, NV – Sierra Visa/Pierce
College) ... Parker scored 43 points and also had 18
rebounds leading the Vikings to two wins in the 13th Chuck
Randall Classic. Parker made seven of 17 3-pointers and
shot 51.7 percent overall, cashing in on 15-of-29. He was
named the tournament’s MVP ... Stroud earned alltournament honors leading the Wildcats to two wins in
the Seattle Pacific Sodexo Tip-Off tournament. He came
off the bench to score 24 points, making nine of 10 shots.
He also led CWU in rebounds (11) and blocked shots (7).
His last basket with one second half came on a dunk to
break a 68-68 tie in Saturday’s 70-68 win over Academy of
Art.
Dec. 29-Jan. 4: Ashton Edwards, Alaska (G, Jr., Compton,
CA – Long Beach CC) and Brian McGill, Alaska Anchorage
(G, 6-2, Jr., Clackamas, OR – Western Oregon) … Edwards
scored 53 points including 30 in Thursday’s 64-60 home
win against Western Washington and 23 in Saturday’s 121111 victory against Simon Fraser. Edwards made 16-of-32
field goal attempts including 7-of-12 three-pointers and
14-of-15 free throws. He also had seven rebounds and
four assists. His point total against the Vikings
represented nearly 47 percent of the Nanooks’ team total
… McGill had 48 points, nine rebounds and nine assists as
the Seawolves also swept SFU (108-86) and Western
